Goosehead Insurance - Westlake

Please don't make the mistake of doing business with this company. I contacted this company in the beginning of 2023 to change my address for my auto policy and they failed to report it to the auto insurance. I ended up updating my address directly to the insurance company in September. As I result I should be owed back pay. I have been trying to reach a manager to get this issue resolved for 2 months now. Each time a representative tells me that Taylor Medina, a manager, will be contacting me. However I have yet to hear from Taylor or any manager in regards to this issue. In my most recent call I was told it was taken to the "escalation team" I am very doubtful I will receive a response. It's highly disappointing with the lack of communication and follow through this company has. Do not trust them with your insurance needs. Also I will add that I emailed the email that has been provided on all of the other reviews from below already. Update: someone from the escalation team has since called and is completing an "internal review" which I'm told could take a few weeks. Not hopeful based on previous interactions, however wanted to update to be transparent. I continue to get weekly calls from someone from the escalation team but have yet to receive an update about the decision to provide me with back pay.

Buyer beware. They’re working strictly for their $200 commission. Was sold a home owners policy on 11/1, on 11/30 I received notice that my policy was being cancelled on 12/1 due to the RCE being too low. Basically, Kate Davis with Goosehead undervalued everything on/in my home to be able to provide me a competitive bid and get me to pay her a $200 fee for her “services”. Except, the insurance company actually came to look at my home and saw that the policy I was sold was useless and did not want to be associated with it. After some research however I learned that some of their agents are still students and not homeowners so their is no way for them to appreciate the precarious positions they put people like myself in. Lesson learned…

I was referred to Goosehead a few years ago by my mortgage broker. We started out with just a homeowners policy and eventually got to a point where we were able to move our auto policy over as well. The personal touch Justin provides is amazing. He is not one to push you into insurance programs you don’t need, in fact, he’ll be up front and tell you some things just don’t make sense for you even though it might hit his wallet a bit. Then there is Kelsey, if you ever have the pleasure of speaking with Kelsey, you’re in for a treat, that girl knows her business and will make sure all of your paperwork is done right the first time and in a timely manner.

Spent hours on the phone to switch 2 auto policies, 2 homeowners and 1 umbrella. There errors from the beginning and eventually we got our policies correct and underwritten. Both homeowners were cancelled by the insurance companies they set us up with after taking our money and being underwritten. One was cancelled in early July and the other this week. Goosehead has been 0 help and we should have stayed with our previous insurer. They also made an error on our umbrella policy which a MONTH after going into effect we received an email that our premium Would increase because of Goosehead’s error. Stay away from this company. It’s a complete bait and switch experience. I was told that our agency fees would be refunded by Tuesday of this week since we had so many issues and that has not happened.

We've been with Goosehead for 9 years, now. We've had a few different agents, but this last one... No. He pushes the same company every year (so he doesn't have to do any work)... And the rate climbs higher and higher. It's now two times higher than the monthly principal we pay on the house. And this year, he ran a quote with our roof age being 3 years older than it is! For a renewal?!? We don't trust this agent. I think the longer you're with Goosehead, they transfer you to less and less competent people. What if I had a claim?! I certainly wouldn't trust him with it. We're going to have to switch companies next year to get rid of him.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! I reached out to goose head after a coworker recommended them to me. To start, the agent who was helping me was not clear, very deceptive on my total cost for starting my new policies. He gave me one price but later I get the documents to sign with a significantly higher price. I tried to reach back out to my agent only to be ghosted after he repeatedly told me “to call him directly for any questions or insurance needs”. Then a few days late, i find out that the very same credit card I had provided him, had unauthorized transactions on it. This is a credit card that I’ve had locked in my safe for MONTHS and all of the sudden, the information gets stolen after i gave it to this agent. I am 100% sure he is the one who has been using my card. I called goosehead to try and speak with a supervisor or a manager about these issues and to this day, NO ONE has called me back. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience.
